Description Unlike the SNC camera, the Indigo Omega camera has a multitude of options. The full functionality of the options is described in the documentation included with the camera. This Im2Learn user guide will briefly explain what several important options do.
Image Optimization The combo box allows you to select one of the four available types of image optimization. The four types are Smart-Scene, Auto-Bright, Once Bright, and manual. Each option is different in the way that contrast, brightness, and brighness bias can be set. Note: the screen shot shows invalid choices for smart-scene. Smart- scene does not allow any of the three options to be set manually. Auto- Bright allows the user to select contrast and brightness bias manually. Once Bright and manual allow for contrast and brightness manually. Manual is different than once bright because the brightness is not automatically optimized. Note: The Indigo documentation recommends that either the Smart- Scene or Auto-Bright modes are used. In the other two modes the user needs to manually changes the brightness setting as the camera temperature changes.
Preview Click on the preview button to see a thumbnail size image from the Indigo camera. The purpose of the preview button is to quickly examine the effects of changes to the options, without actually having to capture the image into Im2Learn
Digital Output This option, which appears minor at first glance, is actually very important. 14-bit data will produce unmodified analog data, 8-bit will produce a digital version of the data. The various selected options in the control only apply to the digital data! So, if you want video processing to be applied, please uncheck the 14-bit checkbox.
Save State will retain the options that you have selected, so that your desired settings are applied at the camera power on (as opposed to the factory defaults).
Description The host is the IP address or host name of the remote camera. The port is by default 80. If the camera is connected locally, you may access it by typing in 127.0.0.1 or localhost. The username and password are what you defined them to be when you set up the camera. The image size will change the resolution of the imported image, but the use of "auto" is recommended
