Oftent times connection is interrupted during a long query and I wondered (and several others) if it is possible to restart the download at the point it was stopped (or at least up to the previous chunk).
Unfortunately is not possible as Oracle is returning data as is becoming available for efficiency. This means, the order of the data will be likely different every time.
A workaround would be to add the ORDER BY clause BUT if the table is too big you might run out of temporary space to allocate sorted elements and query will be terminated.
Splitting the query manually for those long and big dumps of data is the recommended way
