Could someone explain where the EBV_SFD98 values come from in Y3A2_COADD_OBJECT_SUMMARY? Specifically, I’d like to know
(1) which version of the SFD98 map (native ZEA projection, a HEALPixelized version, or something different) and
(2) is any interpolation applied from the extinction map to the locations of individual objects?
Adding my part. The code lives in https://dessvn.cosmology.illinois.edu/websvn/desdm/devel/extinction/trunk/
and it calls the original C code from SFD98 "dust_getval" on a set of galactic coordinates that gets the info from the dust maps (IRAS).
Short answer(s). Under SVN it is the package extinction. Under EUPS extinction 1.3.0+4 was the version that run in the multi-epoch pipeline for Y3A1 & Y3A2. The person "responsible" is Felipe... I have pinged him as he can likely answer the specific questions faster than I.
