Im trying to do a query that, given a tilename, it gives me expnum and ccdnum of all the finalcut exposures that will enter into the coaddtion for Y3A1.

Robert sent an email to a few of us about this recently.  Note that this tells you everything in the coadd, it does not tell you what images went in at a specific location of the coadd...

      Here's quoting from Robert

Currently you can use EUPS to build/setup the multiepoch_appintg package.  This is the location for the query codes being run in the COADD pipeline.  I have embedded within the query code used for the COADD pipeline an option to get exactly what you need.  The only caveats are:

      1.  currently you may need to build from the SVN trunk rather than a tagged version (this will change for the next COADD campaign).  A tag will likely be created as soon as I add the ability to handle u-band.
      2. the command line is a little nasty
      3. I could clean the code up so that you get only what you need (right now you will also get the list the WCL will use within the processing framework to retrieve the files it needs)...

The utility to run and current command line (that which was used for Y3A1_COADD but adapted for this case) is:

      query_coadd_img_for_nullwgt.py --proctag Y3A1_COADD_Y123 --tile {YOUR_TILENAME} --magbase=30 --zeropoint zeropoint --zsource FGCM --zversion v2.0 --zflag 16 --blacklist Y3A1_BLACKLIST --outfile allfiles_bigquery.wcl --verbose 1  --archive desar2home --bandlist g,r,i,z,Y --detbands r,i,z  --imglist HERES_YOUR_DATA -s db-desoper -S prod

--imglist causes a file to be written that has EXPNUM CCDNUM BAND ZEROPOINT used.

-s and -S are needed unless those are your default DB connections.

That is the first way.  I think I can write the query to get it for you too... should I put that on my ToDo list?  Note it is not a big deal as this is also a sub-component of another item already on my ToDo list.

The latest eups version contains the changes that Robert mentioned:

        Doing:

eups distrib install MEPipelineAppIntg 1.1.0+0 --nolocks

        setup -v MEPipelineAppIntg 1.1.0+0

will provide access to the latest code.

THank you very much! I will try the eups version. Actually, It will be a good excercise for me since I have no experience with the DES eups and I should.

In any case, if it is not to difficult or takes you too much time, seeing the queries explicitly would be very good.

        Cheers

OK so in development elsewhere I have come up with something that is much simpler (and faster).  Basically it makes use of the intermediate filetype (for the SWarp inputs) that is used in production of the COADDs.

      SELECT i.filename as filename,
      	i.expnum as expnum,
      	i.ccdnum as ccdnum,
      	i.band as band
      FROM image i, proctag t
      WHERE t.tag='Y3A1_COADD'
      	and t.pfw_attempt_id=i.pfw_attempt_id
      	and i.filetype='coadd_nwgint'
      	and i.tilename='DES0226-0707'

Note if you need to actually get to the images, these are intermediate files and DO NOT exist... (as in we do not save them).  However, if you want to get back to the original single-epoch images these can be directly linked to the images produced by FINALCUT.  That query is:

      SELECT j.filename as filename,
      	j.expnum as expnum,
      	j.ccdnum as ccdnum,
      	j.band as band
FROM image i, image j, proctag tme, proctag tse
      WHERE tme.tag='Y3A1_COADD'
      	and tme.pfw_attempt_id=i.pfw_attempt_id
      	and i.filetype='coadd_nwgint'
      	and i.tilename='DES0226-0707'
      	and i.expnum=j.expnum
      	and i.ccdnum=j.ccdnum
      	and j.filetype='red_immask'
      	and j.pfw_attempt_id=tse.pfw_attempt_id
      	and tse.tag='Y3A1_FINALCUT'

        great! I will test it.

Hello, Im having troubles with the eups installation, is there a way I can start trying to obtain what Im looking for without need of installing desdm eups?

I continue trying to install it

      1. Robert Gruendl

This should be moved to a separate question.  Are you aware of the confluence pages:

        EUPS User's Guide

The Impatient's Guide to DESDM EUPS installation

      2. Aurelio Carnero

thanks! I manage to install it, as we said, lets follow the email list for the chromatic correction folks.

        Cheers

        Aurelio
