DAP Bookmarklet (alpha)
The Data Access Proxy bookmarklet. Simply follow the link, drag the icon to your bookmark toolbar, and you are set. Go to a new page containing files you want to get access to and click on the DAP bookmark. If the Brown Dog DAP is capable of converting the file to other formats it will present those options in a popup menu as you move your mouse over links on the page. Select a desired output format from the menu and the DAP will carry out the conversion. These conversions may involve intermediary formats and several pieces of software running on many different machines and platforms within the "cloud". The user, however, doesn't have to worry about any of that as the Brown Dog Data Access Proxy takes care of that the needed software requirements and coordination.
