About My Datasets

This view displays all of the datasets in the Medici Repository. The view uses paging to improve performance so to view more datasets, you will need to use the menu icons in views toolbar. Similar to the Dropbox view, you can import datasets and collections using this view.

  • Import a dataset or set of datasets by selecting the datasets and dragging and dropping them onto the view
  • Import a collection by selecting a folder and dragging and dropping it onto the view

Menus

This view has two menu items in the view toolbar and several popup menu options when right clicking on a dataset. See below for an explanation of what the different actions do.

Toolbar

  • Load More ( ) will retrieve more datasets from the repository
  • Refresh ( ) will refresh the view and check to see if there are new datasets in the repository

Popup Menus

  • Save As... ( ) - saves the dataset to the local disk
  • Remove From Collection ( ) - brings up a dialog that lets the user remove the dataset from one or more collections
  • Export Metadata ( ) - exports the metadata to local disk
  • Delete Dataset ( ) - deletes the dataset from the repository
  • Add Tag ( ) - brings up a wizard allowing the user to add one or more tags to the dataset
  • Add Comment ( ) - brings up a wizard allowing the user to add a comment to the dataset
  • Execute ( ) - brings up a dialog showing all tools that can be run on the selected dataset
