Reviewed sample buoy data (here). Here are some findings

Three kinds of DAT files (but, it's in CSV format).

• xxx_diagnostics.dat
• xxx_MetData.dat
• xxx_WQData.dat
  • It looks like containing Nitrate data

We need some metadata for columns for each dataset.

The "Pisces Data"/"Ellis Bay Test data May 23-31" contains some charts in Excel (PiscesCell_WQDAta_5-14_7-8_2013_turb-chloro-DO.xlsx).

Loggernet server

• Server runs here at NCSA
• Ted has the admin version to get diagnostics about sensors
• Measuring water quality every 60 minutes, and metadata every 15 (wind speed and direction, temperature, humidity, barometer, precipitation, hail hits, compass?)
• Shipped to clients every 60 minutes

Marcus Slavenas is working on adding a cron job to the server that will update these in the API.
