SEAD Virtual Archive "Matchmaker"

The SEAD Virtual archive is a federation layer over multiple institutional repositories. It enables automatic deposit of data into IUScholarWorks and UI's IDEALS institutional repositories. Data from the SEAD active content repository (ACR) is transformed into a standard OAIS Submission Information Package (SIP). The VA includes a "matchmaker" which includes policies/rules that can be used when deciding where to deposit a package (e.g., subject, maximum file size, content type).

The "matchmaker" service is a standalone Java process. Rules are encoded using the Drools rules engine.
