This sbt plugin looks like it has matured quite a bit since we implemented daffodil-pack. I think it can do everything we currently require, plus it has support for building things like rpm's, dep's, msi's, etc. It would be nice if we could have the same or more functionality with a plugin and not have this messy nesting of sbt projects.

This could even potentially replace the sbt-stage plugin.
