I only ever get "bitLimit: no bit limit set" when I try to output this value.

According to Mike:

bit limit - we hardly ever use this, we haven't implemented most of the stuff that depends on it alot. So right now I'm not surprised it always seems undefined.

Do we want to keep this as one of the variables that can be displayed to the user?
