Anaconda looks like a very similar offering to Workbench. It provides a way to quickly get access to Data Science tools via graphical interface or CLI. While the desktop GUI application may not be very useful to us, this application also exposes a CLI called Conda that can launch various tools from command-line.

There is apparently already a Docker image for the "conda" wrapper around these tools that we should experiment with: https://hub.docker.com/r/continuumio/anaconda/

More investigation is needed into which tools we can launch in this fashion. How useful this anaconda image is will be determined by how many of the launchable tools can then be accessed through a web browser, minus the ones we already offer (like Jupyter and RStudio). We could easily create 3 or 4 specs in the catalog that just run the contiuumio/anaconda Docker image with a different command to run distinct services.

This ticket is complete when we have played around with Anaconda enough to know whether we can leverage it to easily add more services to the Workbench.
