Symptom: Polyglot starts and works fine for a while, then it gets stuck, and does not respond to API calls to its port 8184 any more. Each time an API call is made to it, such as:
curl -u user1:password1 http://dap-dev.ncsa.illinois.edu:8184/convert/jpg/http%3A%2F%2Fbrowndog.ncsa.illinois.edu%2Fexamples%2F0005.jp2

polyglot.log has a new entry similar to below:
Unable to run the following server-side task: sun.net.httpserver.ServerImpl$Exchange@7e6ecfd2
the curl command waits and eventually times out. Essentially polyglot stops working. When this occurs, all tests in the bi-hourly testing fail.

Noticed while working on POL-162. Have seen this msg for a while, but did not correlate that with the no-response behavior before.
