Overview

Depending on project allocations and budgets, we are sometimes offered project-based access to commercial cloud.

We currently have basic patterns in place for accessing both AWS and Google Cloud.

AWS

To log into AWS with your university account:

1. Navigate to https://aws.illinois.edu/
2. Click "Log In" at the top
   • You should be redirected to a shibboleth login screen
3. Enter your NETID and password and click "Login"
   • If you have configured 2FA for your university account, then you may be prompted for Duo 2FA

You should then be taken to AWS, where you should be prompted to choose a project

Google Cloud

To log into Google Cloud with your university account:

1. Navigate to https://console.cloud.google.com/
2. Enter your NETID in the e-mail field and click "Next"
   • You should be redirected to a shibboleth login screen
3. Enter your NETID and password and click Login
   • If you have configured 2FA for your university account, then you may be prompted for Duo 2FA

You should then be taken to Google Cloud, where you can "Select a Project" at the top-left
