COPTR is a tool registry wiki that is used by the digital preservation community. It is run by the Digital Preservation Center, but a product of many DP organizations. There is a tool category for metadata extractors and I think we should take a look at which of these tools may be candidates for incorporation by Brown Dog team or potentially something we can solicit from the DP community to contribute.
