The search function in the Transformations Catalog requires a text index. Initially this was just put in the readme to create the index, but to ensure that the index exists prior to searching, the index creation can be added to the app initialization. If the index already exists, create index is a no-op, and if it doesn't exist then creating it here means that it will exist prior to searching, even if it delays the start of the app.
