WBS 4.6. CI-BER Web Portal (https://opensource.ncsa.illinois.edu/confluence/display/BD/WBS)

The CI-BER collection is a large 72 TB collection of 100 million uncurated and unstructured data objects collected from a number of government agencies. As an uncurated collection it is not particularly useful and as such CI-BER serves as a testbed for Cyberinfrastructure that would serve to extract value from such collections. We will construct a web site serving as a portal to data within the CI-BER collection, leveraging the DAP and DTS services to allow users to both search for and access information within the collection. The work package aims towards one possible demonstration of how the developed services can provide some level of access to uncurated collections that are otherwise of little use.
