In the Tool Catalog, currently each interface has fields for four files: BD Source file, docker file, input source file, and output source file. However, docker file is a relatively new technology and not supported by every OS (currently it's supported by linux and indirectly by mac). VM images are not as light-weight as docker images, but they are supported by every environment and more widely used. So we need to be able to add a VM image per tool interface.
