The way that DSSAT handles terminating one crop and establishing a second crop is to reset to zero so it appears there is a sudden drop off in nitrate leached and nitrate loss. When the output parser creates the graph data, it should handle the disconnect between the termination of the fallow and the planting of the cash crop so the line is continuous and shows the actual difference in nitrate loss with and without cover crop.
