Right now the process is very error-prone. It's hard to keep track of what keys need to match what, and what magic incantations the customIterator needs to make, and what gets done by the "handler" which generates the ogrescript, etc.

Need to add better error-reporting and log messages to explain problems, and helper classes/functions/etc to simplify the process
