How to modify trends endpoint to support nested datapoints? (i.e. zooplankton and phytoplankton in GLM)

Possible methods to look at:

• Making the query dynamic and being able to identify whether data is nested or not.
• Adding another endpoint for such data
• Modifying how nested datapoints are stored to make it compaitable with the existing query.
