Hazus and non-hazus pipeline damage tasks are extremely similar. The major difference is that hazus pipeline takes into account liquefaction. But both types SHOULD take liquefaction into account. Really, they should be merged into one analysis, but using separate fragilities/fragility mappings.
Per Can's email:
Hello Nathan,
I just checked the HAZUS style pipeline analysis tool and I couldn't load my pipeline data to it. It says it needs a potable water facilities dataset. When I tried ingesting, there was potable water facility damage, but not fotable water facility data in the list after I selected shapefile ingestion.
If the only main differences between those two tools are the liquefaction analysis and the pipeline fragilities, I suggest we merge those two pipeline analysis tools and make liquefaction analysis available for all pipeline damage analyses within MAEviz.
Can you add this issue into the priority list for Prof. Elnashai's attention?
Thanks
