      Jerry, Junho, and Steve:

      1. The attached file is a document explaining the social vulnerability algorithm. It unfortunately is longer than the guidelines specify, however this was necessary in order to provide information on each component of the algorithm and how to use the 30x30 National Land Cover Data (NLCD) 2001. We have also created a full set of example visuals for each map in a powerpoint presentation. Lastly, all of the data for Shelby County (DBF tables, raster files, etc) must also be downloaded. Both of these files can be downloaded below because they were far too large to email.

      2. Example maps: please download the PowerPoint file from http://trimurl.com/E4G

      ( or http://thelab.tamu.edu/students/j0l2853/web/vm.ppt 23 mb )

      3. Complete dataset: please download from http://trimurl.com/E43

      ( or http://thelab.tamu.edu/students/j0l2853/web/sv.zip 57 mb ).

Please download the zip file and then unzip it. There are several subfolders included.
