HAZUS computes 3 separate liquefaction pieces that cannot be directly used to adjust the damage for liquefaction. The 3 parts must use another HAZUS algorithm to obtain a probability of liquefaction similar to Rix's LPI of 15 probability. See TGIC section 4.1.7 where the lateral spreading, the ground settlement and the probability of liquefaction produce the probability of ground failure for PL1, PL2, and PL3 (the limit states). This is then used in a similar way to Rix's LPI >=15 to combine ground shaking damage and ground failure damage.
