Add info in metadata to identify which fields are the "result" fields of result datasets. UIs (such as table view) can then act upon this, such as highlighting results, using them as defaults in graphs, etc.

From Omar: in tables created from analyses I would mark the result fields; for example with bold text, highlighted header, etc. In that way the user could identify what is the outcome of the analysis (new available information).
