It might be worthwhile to check the bounding box of the dataset being loaded against the bounding box of the region of interest to see if there is no overlap and then warn the user with a popup dialog. If you select a region of interest (say Istanbul) and try loading the memphis data, the user has no idea that either their region of interest selection is wrong or they grabbed the wrong dataset because MAEviz will add the dataset to their scenario and nothing will show up in the display. Thus, it appeared to work and they have no idea why nothing shows up in the display.
