In some cases (ie for PTMs) we want to view both the original file (ie in the Java PTM viewer) and its (pre)views (ie 3D models generated from PTMs, possibly thumbnails). In some other cases (ie obj models turned to x3d) not so. We need a way for the system (on the webserver side or the extractor side) to tell these cases apart and act accordingly.
