Apparently the naive error message on the login page is malfunctioning after the recent massive refactoring.

Desired behavior:

• 200 => should route user to "rd" value supplied, or Dashboard if no "rd" present
• 401 => should display "Invalid username or password" or similar
• anything else => should display "Something went wrong" message

This ticket is complete when the above behavior has been corrected.
