Apparently, I misunderstood willis8' feedback. NDS-546 was nice, but the original intention was to call attention to "Edit a Service" from the dashboard.

There is currently no prompt or indication that a username or database value needs to be filled in.

This may require changes to:

• specs - adding a "required" flag to the config to indicate whether it needs to be set to avoid fatal errors during startup
• apiserver - to respect the "required" flag on cofigs
• ui - to present the "required" flag as a checkbox to allow the user to set it from to UI

This ticket is complete when we have discussed the above and either done the work necessary to fulfill it, or filed further tickets outlining such work.
