Common practice for Kubernetes provides master node with public IP.
This enables kubectl access with properly configured credentials.
This is supportive of cluster operations and beneficial to monitoring from nagios via direct kubectl access. Kubectl access enables a large number of checks on the cluster, kubernetes, and services directly and simply.
- Add public IP to master post-install as in load balancer
- Add security-group firewall rule to enable kubectl and ssh access.
- ansible addition to capture/configure kubectl
- Instructions on configuring and using kubectl using save kubectl config from ansible
