If/when the name of a file is changed in SEAD, the original filename is currently overwritten. We have users who want to change the name for active/publication purposes but to continue to see/use/search the original name (which is how the file is referred to in notes and other docs). Since the name is not user metadata, we don't track its provenance as the /feature/editable-metadata update does, but at least tracking the as-uploaded value would be a good step. Implementation could be as metadata, but probably more straight forward to add it as a field on File objects and to display it with the info about who uploaded the file and when.
