Add a button to the data page that allows upload of a new file(s), probably connecting to a variant of the existing upload dialog. For a minimal implementation, the new uploaded file should be identified as 'was derived from' the data set on the originating page. (i.e. a metadata relationship recorded using the current vocabulary for that - same as if the relationship were created manually). Stretch target is to explore some means of differentiating the type of derivation - e.g. a correction/replacement, a new version, a new processing level, a general derived product, etc. through presenting a list of options and/or a comment field (which could end up as the first comment on the derived data set's page).
