Use GeoJson for location of dataset. The below is the comment by Jim about this idea. But we need to think and discuss about what's a best way to use GeoJson for this case in terms of usability.

Optionally, something like geojson may be a useful format for input (used in CKAN) and we may want to address data that is associated with a polygon ratehr than a point. (May require additional changes to the map tab for display and/or to the geo-browse app or other code which may assume that non-point data is in the geoserver (not sure).
