Curl examples should translate to RCurl - should test basic data read/write and navigation (i.e. navigating down a collection hierarchy to find a dataset), as well as demonstrate basic provenance/metadata (upload data as version /derived product of input data, associate program /analysis performed with datasets, describe data type/parameters/etc.)
