Data

Clicking the Data link from the main navigation will bring you to a listing of all available datasets. A dataset can be viewed by clicking the thumbnail or title. For more information about viewing datasets see Viewing Dataset.

To select multiple datasets click the check boxes associated with the desired datasets. You can now use the Actions menu to perform operations on all of the selected datasets. For a detailed description of available actions see Actions.

You can sort data sets by selecting an option from the Sort by drop-down menu. These options include:

    • Date: newest first - reverse chronological order of the original upload date.
    • Date: oldest first - chronological order of the original upload date.
    • Title: A-Z - alphabetical order on the title of the dataset.
    • Title: Z-A - reverse alphabetical order on the title of the dataset.
    • Category: A-Z - alphabetical order on the category of the dataset.
    • Category: Z-A - reverse alphabetical order on the category of the dataset.

For a description of Categories see Categories.

The Data list has two views to help you display datasets:
  • Grid: The grid view displays datasets with a thumbnail and title only in a six column grid.
  • List: The list view provides more detail for each dataset. In addition to thumbnail and title, the list view displays: contributer, upload date, file size, and category.

The Page Size drop-down menu allows you to choose the number of datasets that are displayed per page. You can paginate the list view by five, ten, or twenty datasets per page. You can paginate the grid view by twenty-four, forty-eight, or ninety-size datasets per page.

You can navigate through the datasets using the Previous and Next links or you can jump directly to a desired page by selecting the page number.

Medici remembers all of these values so you can navigate away from the Data page and come back to where you left off.
